All applicants ought to know these basics about Delvaux before applying or interviewing for any role.

Founded in Brussels in 1829, Delvaux is widely regarded as the world’s oldest fine leather goods house, giving employees the rare chance to work within nearly two centuries of artisanal heritage.
Delvaux received a warrant as Official Purveyor to the Royal Court of Belgium in 1883, a distinction that reinforces its reputation for discretion, craftsmanship, and enduring prestige.
The house is credited with filing one of the first leather handbag patents in 1908, making innovation—not just tradition—a meaningful part of its brand DNA.
Delvaux remains especially known for iconic handbag families such as the Brillant and Tempête, so careers there often revolve around preserving instantly recognizable design codes while serving a highly exacting clientele.
Unlike larger fashion-led maisons such as Louis Vuitton or Hermès, Delvaux has cultivated a quieter, more intimate identity centered on Belgian surrealism, exceptional leatherwork, and understated luxury.
For job seekers, Delvaux’s smaller scale relative to global conglomerate giants can translate into closer proximity to product, craftsmanship, and cross-functional teams than at many mega-brand environments.
