Must-know Donzé Baume Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Donzé Baume before applying or interviewing for any role.

Donzé Baume is a specialist Swiss dial maker best known for supplying enamel dials to high-end watch maisons, making it especially appealing for candidates interested in rare decorative crafts rather than consumer-facing branding.
Founded in Le Locle in 1972 by master enameller Francis Donzé, the company built its reputation on grand feu enamel techniques that demand extreme precision, patience, and a very low tolerance for error.
The maison became part of Ulysse Nardin in 2011, giving employees the chance to work within a manufacture-backed environment while preserving highly artisanal savoir-faire.
Because enamel dials are often produced in small volumes and for exceptional pieces, careers at Donzé Baume tend to sit at the intersection of heritage craftsmanship, prototyping, and haute horlogerie innovation.
Its work has appeared on some of the watch industry’s most technically and artistically ambitious creations, so joining the firm can offer unusual exposure to collaboration with designers, engineers, and métiers d’art specialists.
For job seekers, Donzé Baume stands out as a niche employer where mastering one exacting craft can have visibility across the wider luxury watch ecosystem, rather than within a single retail brand universe.
