All applicants ought to know these basics about Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie before applying or interviewing for any role.

Founded in 2005 in Geneva, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie was created to promote fine watchmaking culture worldwide, giving employees exposure to education, events, and industry thought leadership rather than traditional product manufacturing.
The foundation is closely associated with Watches and Wonders, one of the sector’s most influential trade events, making it an especially compelling workplace for professionals interested in brand strategy, curation, and luxury client engagement.
Its ecosystem brings it into regular contact with leading maisons such as Cartier, Jaeger LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, and IWC, offering unusual visibility across the wider watch industry.
Because its mission centers on transmission of horological knowledge, roles there can appeal to candidates with strengths in content, training, partnerships, cultural programming, and communications.
Unlike a single-brand house, the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie operates as a convening platform for haute horlogerie, so careers often involve cross-functional collaboration with multiple maisons, media, collectors, and institutions.
Its Geneva base places it at the heart of Swiss watchmaking’s institutional network, a valuable advantage for job seekers hoping to build long-term relationships across the broader luxury timepiece world.
