Must-know Tissot Facts

All applicants ought to know these basics about Tissot before applying or interviewing for any role.

Founded in Le Locle in 1853, Tissot combines deep Swiss watchmaking heritage with an unusually broad price spectrum, making it one of luxury’s most accessible entry points for careers in horology and retail.
Tissot is part of Swatch Group, which can offer employees exposure to a vast industrial ecosystem alongside sister watch brands such as Omega, Longines, Hamilton, and Rado.
The brand built its reputation on practical innovation, from early mass-produced pocket watches to tactile touchscreen T-Touch models, so roles there often sit at the intersection of tradition, engineering, and consumer technology.
Because Tissot is distributed globally and positioned at relatively high volume compared with more niche maisons, it can be an especially strong place to build experience in international sales, merchandising, supply chain, and after-sales service.
Its long-standing visibility in global sports timing and partnerships reinforces a fast-paced, performance-driven brand culture that differs from more discreet heritage watchmakers such as Vacheron Constantin or Breguet.
For job seekers, Tissot is notable for pairing the credibility of Swiss-made watchmaking with a more democratic audience, which can mean broader customer contact and clearer commercial feedback than at ultra-exclusive houses like Patek Philippe or Rolex.
