All applicants ought to know these basics about Universo before applying or interviewing for any role.

Universo is the industrial leather division of Prada Group, giving employees exposure to one of luxury fashion’s most vertically integrated supply chains.
Founded in 1980 in Tuscany’s leatherworking district, Universo was created to strengthen in-house expertise in tanning, finishing, and material innovation for luxury handbags and accessories.
For job seekers, the brand’s value lies less in public-facing fashion and more in highly specialized craftsmanship, manufacturing excellence, and process innovation behind the scenes.
Because it supports a global luxury house rather than operating as a standalone label, careers at Universo can offer close collaboration with design, sourcing, quality, and industrial teams across the wider Prada ecosystem.
Its role in leather research and production makes it especially relevant for candidates interested in sustainability, traceability, and the technical side of premium materials.
Working at Universo can be appealing for professionals who want to build deep expertise in luxury manufacturing while contributing directly to the product standards associated with Prada and Miu Miu.
