Birks seeks a Store Director for its Fairview Mall location in Pointe-Claire to lead daily operations and strategy, drive sales, develop the team, and deliver exceptional client experiences. The role requires at least 2 years of retail management sales experience, a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Business Administration, and fluency in English and French. Role & Responsibilities
- Lead overall daily store operations and strategy, in collaboration with the Regional Director and VP Retail.
- Build meaningful relationships with every client and foster a client-first environment.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets consistently.
- Develop, organize, and manage a high-volume retail store.
- Create a store environment where all staff take responsibility for sales goals and the store’s sales and profit objectives while delivering outstanding customer service.
- Coach, train, and develop store staff.
- Manage store operations, business development, and client relations, and promote the store within the community.
- Build a successful team by coaching and training, celebrating clients, and recognizing team members.
- Foster a professional and pleasant working environment.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of retail management sales experience; luxury retail and/or jewellery experience is preferred.
- Strong team values.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or Business Administration.
- Goal-oriented and sales-driven, with a strong understanding that caring for clients and exceeding their expectations are key to success.
- Functional knowledge of the MS Office suite.
- Ability to deliver distinctive, excellent customer service.
- Fully bilingual in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient English is required to communicate regularly with employees and managers outside Quebec.
