The Production Floor Service Associate coordinates supplies and work for operators across sewing, down filling, examining, cleaning, and packing operations to support daily production goals. The role is full-time and based in Toronto, with an hourly pay range of CAD 18.38–26.93; actual offers depend on experience, skills, and role alignment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review the line or section loading schedule daily with the supervisor to understand daily expectations and tasks.
- Review the job sequence and specifications with the supervisor before starting each released production order.
- Ensure the section has a continuous supply of work.
- Alert the supervisor in advance when operators may run out of work so changes can be prepared, and distribute work fairly among operators.
- Notify the supervisor of line issues, such as machine repair requests.
- Keep the department clean and organized, including cutwork and production supplies, and keep aisles clear.
- Take panels or garments for recutting or replacement and promptly reintegrate them into production to maintain the schedule.
- Transfer completed work to the next appropriate department.
- Verify trims and threads before releasing them and return them to central storage.
- Move the cut-goods trolley from the bundlers to the line.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing and apparel industry is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of numbers and measurements.
- Proficiency in English language and comprehension.
- Strong sense of urgency and responsibility.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend repeatedly for extended periods.
- Ability to carry, push, and pull 25–50 lb.
- Ability to carry up to 10 kg and bend repeatedly.
