The Quality Control Inspector checks in-process garment quality, identifies defects, follows up on production-floor repairs and communicates findings to operators and QA colleagues. The role is based in a manufacturing environment, involves standing and walking shifts of up to 8 hours and lifting up to 30 lbs., and pays $18.38–$26.93 per hour, with actual offers dependent on experience, skills and role alignment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Inspect production in process and identify defects against Canada Goose quality criteria.
- Inspect and follow up on daily repairs on the production floor.
- Communicate with operators about sewing issues as needed.
- Inform other QA team members about issues.
- Follow up daily on the implementation and maintenance of quality standards.
- Provide regular feedback to the Production and QA teams on garment quality performance.
- Complete other duties as required to support the Production and QA department.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and work extra hours when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in the garment industry.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction.
- Proactive approach and accountability for assigned projects.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, work proactively and as part of a team, and handle challenges.
- Excellent common sense, decision-making, interpersonal and analytical skills.
