Coach Lead Cashier position in Vaughan, Ontario—luxury retail checkout supervisor role offering competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and act as Insider Program ambassador
- Engage customers at checkout and in line; assess needs and provide tailored solutions
- Capture customer information accurately and securely
- Complete end-of-shift audits; process returns, repairs, and damaged items according to policy
- Maintain SKU accuracy, checkout area organization, and cleanliness standards
- Suggest add-ons and promote gift cards to enhance transaction value
- Handle cash and payment methods accurately and deliver purchases appropriately
- Assist with cashier training and onboarding; report equipment issues
- Demonstrate integrity, ownership, and collaboration with team members
- Remain composed under pressure; multitask and prioritize effectively
- Communicate clearly and confidently; influence customer purchasing decisions
- Adapt service approach to individual customer needs and maintain environmental awareness
- Operate point-of-sale systems and mobile POS platforms with proficiency
- Represent Coach as a brand ambassador, adhering to the Coach Guide to Style and Service standards
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in luxury retail
- Proven knowledge of fashion trends and competitive landscape
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and mobile point-of-sale platforms
- Basic computer literacy with iPad, laptop, and related retail technology
- Experience using walkie-talkie systems and reading price/release sheets
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
Skills
Experience
1+ years of sales experience in retail; luxury retail background preferred. Experience with POS operation, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with mobile point-of-sale systems required.
Education
A combination of high school education and relevant retail experience will be considered.
Workplace
The role is situated in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada — conveniently close to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 19 to CAD 22 per hour.
