De Beers Group hiring Process Plant Operator at Gahcho Kué Mine, NWT on fixed-term contract through June 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate crushers, rock breakers, scrubbers, conveyors, vibrating screens, pumps, thickeners, dense media separation, and recovery-specific equipment
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and ensure normal operations
- Record process data and report deviations to plant conditions or parameters to minimize delays and breakdowns
- Complete and maintain plant logs and reports according to established protocols
- Maintain assigned areas and responsibilities in accordance with standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance schedules
Qualifications
- Experience operating small mobile equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental standards
- Demonstrated accountability for personal and collective safety practices
Skills
Experience
Entry-level experience in plant operations or equipment operation in a mining or industrial setting is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.
Education
Secondary school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plant operations, mining, or related field is an asset.
