The freelance, on-call Beauty Sales Associate delivers personalized in-store consultations in makeup, skincare, hair, or fragrance, supports store events and visual merchandising, and contributes to customer education and satisfaction. Retail experience is preferred, but applicants with beginner-level expertise are welcome; the anticipated hourly range is CAD 17.75–28.55, with benefits and possible commission/bonus plan participation for eligible employees.

Role & Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized in-store customer experiences through makeup application, skincare advice, hair consultations, or fragrance consultations.
• Use creative and technical expertise to educate and delight customers.
• Contribute to a high-performing team and create impact through in-store events.
• Maintain the store’s visual merchandising standards to distinguish it from competitors.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred; applicants with beginner-level experience are welcome if they can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
• Availability to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events, in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
• Ability to provide proof of the right to live and work in Canada if invited to interview.
• Makeup artistry certification and/or prior retail makeup experience is desirable; beginner-level expertise is also welcomed.
• Expertise in fragrance, skincare, and hair consultations is highly valued; applicants looking to develop skills in these areas are also welcomed.

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.75 to CAD 28.55 per hour.
