The Estée Lauder Companies seeks an on-call freelance Beauty Sales Associate in Ottawa to provide makeup application, skincare advice, hair or fragrance consultations and personalized customer experiences. The associate contributes to in-store events and visual merchandising, with retail experience preferred and beginner-level expertise welcome; eligible employees may receive benefits and participate in an applicable commission/bonus plan.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized in-store experiences through makeup application, skincare advice, hair consultations or fragrance consultations, educating and delighting customers.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create impact through in-store events.
- Maintain the store’s visual merchandising standards to distinguish it from competitors.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate creative and technical expertise; beginner-level expertise is welcome.
- Provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service.
- Be available to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends and special events, in a fast-paced environment.
- Have previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
- Provide proof of the right to live and work in Canada if invited to interview.
- Makeup artistry certification and/or prior retail makeup experience is desirable; fragrance, skincare and hair consultation expertise is highly valued, and applicants wishing to develop these skills are also welcome.
- Retail experience is preferred, but applicants with amateur-level experience are welcome if they can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
