Gucci seeks a Client Engagement Manager to lead client development, VIP relations, and regional events across Canada, translating client engagement strategy into store-embedded plans that support sales. The role requires travel within Canada up to 60% of the time and offers a base salary range of CAD 78,000–87,000 per year.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead store-specific client development strategy, planning, and execution across the Canadian market to drive retention, client elevation, and acquisition in partnership with corporate client and insights teams.
  • Use store-level client pyramid analysis and client mapping to develop retail plans that support sales goals and client segment ambitions.
  • Review client outreach results and tool usage regularly, identifying gaps and embedding best practices.
  • Align with corporate and field cross-functional teams on client goals and a 365-day calendar, delivering the annual client development plan in line with global and regional strategy.
  • Analyze client initiatives and their impact on client development and sales, assessing pre-, during-, and post-initiative strategy to maximize touchpoints against client engagement KPIs.
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with the General Manager, Canada, and ensure teams have structured time for strategy, plan development, and goal setting.
  • Travel to stores to support client development growth.
  • Lead or host regional calls with store teams to communicate client direction and strategies and share relevant client priorities.
  • Present monthly and quarterly business-area performance results relating to client development priorities.
  • Identify store-specific opportunities to strengthen training programs and improve their client development impact.
  • Create tourist development programs to engage and cultivate key local and international tourist groups during peak seasonal shopping periods.
  • Build expert knowledge of top clients at key stores; cultivate and map these clients to engage them with the brand’s highest-expression local and international experiences.
  • Partner with the corporate client relations team to manage and coordinate exceptional local and international client experiences.
  • Identify, develop, and implement immersive, personalized brand experiences for top clients.
  • Manage and implement seasonal gifting programs for top clients.
  • Develop partnerships with travel, hotel, and concierge contacts to provide services that drive VIP client acquisition and cultivation.
  • Attend events and network with clients at key functions, representing Gucci Americas as a brand ambassador.
  • Create and manage the regional client engagement events calendar and budget in partnership with the corporate client events team.
  • Develop and propose target client lists according to event typology.
  • Partner with regional retail and merchandising teams to manage the customer experience and end-to-end implementation of evergreen events supporting selling initiatives, including high-end customization events such as DIY, MTM, MTO, and special orders.
  • Support store teams in developing new event initiatives, subject to appropriate corporate approval.
  • Coordinate with corporate teams as needed on invitation printing and mailing, client gifts, catering, champagne, flowers, and related arrangements.
  • Oversee corporate identity preparation before in-store events in accordance with corporate guidelines, ensuring excellence in execution.
  • Manage vendor setup, store operational support, and event execution, with written and visual documentation, action planning, and weekly sharing of feedback and results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of management experience in retail, marketing and/or special events, hospitality, or consulting.
  • Proven client management ability and exceptional relationship- and partnership-management skills in B2B and B2C environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with experience interacting and working with VIP clients.
  • Exceptional appreciation and understanding of the luxury fashion industry.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Must have proper work authorization to work in Canada.

Experience

At least 3 years of management experience in retail, marketing and/or special events, hospitality, or consulting.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 78,000 to CAD 87,000 per annum.
