Operations Controller role at Gucci Toronto boutique. Manage inventory, oversee stockroom operations, and support retail excellence. $23–$24 CAD/hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving processes, reporting issues to Store Director or Operations Manager and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Ensure timely movement of merchandise through transfers, returns-to-vendor, and damage processing in compliance with company procedures
- Identify and resolve operational problems in collaboration with Store Director or Operations Manager
- Maintain clear and accurate operational documentation and procedures for team reference
- Submit required tax-exempt forms upon receipt
- Communicate all discrepancies and operational issues immediately to management
- Process repairs and damages in a timely manner according to company guidelines
- Assist with physical maintenance and upkeep of the boutique
- Place orders for all office and store supplies as needed
- Execute and maintain accurate, organized store inventory at all times
- Perform store cycle counts, scheduled inventories, and reconciliation with support from Store Director or Operations Manager
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and security guidelines
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in a similar operational or inventory role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector
- High degree of ethics, professionalism, integrity, and ability to inspire trust and foster teamwork
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage inventory efficiently
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in stock management and reconciliation processes
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software, including receiving, tracking, and merchandise storage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with boutique management, sales teams, and staff
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays as required by retail operations
- Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, bending, and lifting boxes
Skills
Experience
2-3+ years in a similar role, preferably within fashion retail or the luxury sector. Prior experience in stockroom management, inventory control, or retail operations strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Further retail, operations, or inventory management certification is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 23 to CAD 24 per hour.
