Hermès Canada seeks a Sales Specialist for a 12-month contract in Vancouver. Luxury retail experience and client-focused sales excellence required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as brand ambassador, conveying Hermès' cultural values and heritage to clients with warmth, courtesy, and elegance
- Articulate product narratives and communicate the added value of Hermès' artisanal métiers and collections
- Warmly welcome clients and cultivate sales through adherence to quality and service excellence standards
- Deliver exceptional personal service grounded in comprehensive product knowledge across all categories
- Develop and nurture client loyalty through thoughtful, ongoing communication; build sustainable client relationships and sell experiential value beyond transactional product
- Execute assigned opening and closing procedures with precision and integrity
- Achieve assigned sales targets and key performance indicators
- Maintain store floor protocols for visual merchandising standards, service consistency, and loss prevention
- Uphold all Group and subsidiary policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
- Actively pursue personal and professional development initiatives aligned with career objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of client-focused retail sales experience
- Proven sales achievement and demonstrated passion for meeting or exceeding targets
- Luxury retail experience or background selling premium ready-to-wear, footwear, timepieces, leather goods, or jewelry
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to establish genuine client connections
- Professional, team-oriented demeanor with demonstrated flexibility and composure under pressure
- Ability to lift and maneuver merchandise up to 20 kg; physical capacity to stand, crouch, and bend throughout shifts
- Open availability including weekend and holiday coverage to meet business needs
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in client-focused retail sales, with preference for luxury goods sectors. Prior exposure to premium fashion, accessories, timepieces, or jewelry categories is valued. Evidence of consistent sales performance and ability to build a clientele base is essential.
Education
Secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent required. Product certification training and luxury retail credentials are advantageous but not mandatory; Hermès provides comprehensive onboarding and product training.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 60,000 to CAD 100,000 per annum.
