Holt Renfrew Alterations Specialist role in Montreal, measuring, fitting and altering luxury garments to client specifications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Measure clients to determine the scope of alteration work.
- Pin and mark garments according to fabric type and to ensure the correct fit.
- Complete alterations on pinned and marked garments to the highest technical standards.
- Deliver completed garments on or before the promised date.
- Inform clients of applicable alteration charges in accordance with the current price list.
- Confirm and communicate the promised completion date for alterations.
- Work professionally with Sales Associates to support client satisfaction.
- Provide expert guidance on garment cut and fit.
- Complete the designated sections of alteration tags.
- Follow Holt Renfrew’s price list.
- Inform the department manager of supply requirements or equipment repair needs.
- Help keep the department clean and orderly.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and requirements.
Qualifications
- Technical training in tailoring or dressmaking, or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience altering luxury garments or fabrics.
- Ability to communicate comfortably and clearly in English and/or French.
