The Audit and Control Associate supports Holt Renfrew’s Cash Office through switchboard, general office, accounts payable, daily balancing, financial support, and store services, while auditing procedures and maintaining compliance. The starting pay range is CAD 17.95–24.00 per hour, with offers varying according to experience, qualifications, performance, and local market conditions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate the switchboard, provide general office and accounts payable services, and perform daily balancing functions within the Cash Office.
- Provide internal store services, including responding to general and procedural inquiries and conducting employee parcel and bag checks.
- Answer inbound customer calls in accordance with company standards.
- Route calls accurately to recipients or deliver messages promptly.
- Maintain the location's phone directory.
- Oversee repairs of technical systems, including point-of-sale systems.
- Provide financial support through bank reconciliations, invoice coding, petty cash management, and chargeback investigations.
- Manage Customer’s Own Goods and other No Inventory Value/No Charge tracking.
- Maintain general office practices and a neat, orderly workplace to mitigate loss.
- Audit departmental compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support and follow up on audits to ensure compliance.
- Comply with privacy policies, regulations, and cybersecurity measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of previous work experience in a similar environment; retail experience preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proven attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Fluency in French and English.
