Holt Renfrew Shipper and Receiver position in Calgary, AB. Manage luxury merchandise shipping and receiving operations. $15–$24/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Unload merchandise from trucks using safe lifting techniques and operate material handling equipment including handcarts, flatbeds, and pump jacks
- Verify incoming shipments by checking box counts against waybills, invoices, packing slips and other supporting documents
- Inspect all boxes for signs of tampering or damage and log discrepancies, shortages, or damages for manager notification
- Place incoming boxes in designated storage areas in an orderly and systematic fashion
- Route deliveries to appropriate destinations including stockrooms, shipping departments, and alterations areas
- Determine optimal shipping methods and prepare corresponding paperwork for outbound shipments
- Record merchandise contents manually or within computer systems as required
- Pack and label outbound goods with appropriate shipping instructions and affix shipping labels
- Verify customer delivery sales bills for payment processing
- Ensure strict adherence to customs procedures for all international shipments
- Load trucks with packed merchandise using proper lifting and stacking techniques
- Pick up and deliver alterations to appropriate departments as scheduled
- Fulfill supply orders from completed requisitions and deliver to designated departments
- Collect and manage hangers from departments, storing appropriately
- Collect, sort, and dispose of cardboard, garbage, and recyclable materials
- Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
- Ensure adherence to privacy policies, regulations, and cybersecurity measures
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2+ years of verifiable experience in a shipping and receiving environment
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate material handling equipment
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail capabilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting shipping documentation and customs procedures

Experience
2+ years of experience in a shipping and receiving environment, preferably within a retail or luxury goods context. Proven track record of accurate merchandise handling, inventory management, and adherence to operational protocols.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent qualification required.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 15 to CAD 24 per hour.
