The Assistant Store Manager at HUGO BOSS’s BOSS Shop in Holt Renfrew Calgary delivers an exceptional shopping experience, develops staff, and supports sales, profitability, inventory control, and store operations. This is a full-time, unlimited-term position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train and develop staff, deliver exceptional customer service, drive business with the merchant group, and solve problems through effective communication.
- Lead the team in supporting sales, managing profit and loss, and controlling inventory to achieve positive results.
- Build a goal-oriented selling culture focused on relationship-based selling, client development, and exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, walkthroughs, and audits.
- Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed.
- Develop community relationships through personal involvement, public relations events, and advertising opportunities.
- Evaluate performance issues continuously and actively recruit candidates.
- Work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
- Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met and empower store staff to uphold the highest standards, supporting store management in this area.
- Maintain knowledge of all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure Health and Safety documentation is properly recorded and maintained.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial.
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to process information and merchandise using a computer system and point-of-sale register system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
