The Assistant Store Manager at HUGO BOSS’s HUGO Outlet at Cross Iron Mills leads staff development, sales, client relationships, inventory and store operations, while ensuring Health & Safety compliance. This is a full-time, unlimited-term role requiring 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Train and develop staff through effective communication, deliver exceptional customer service, drive business with the merchant group, and resolve problems.
- Lead the team in achieving positive results by supporting sales, managing profit and loss, and controlling inventory.
- Build a goal-oriented selling culture focused on relationship selling, developing a client base, and delivering exceptional service.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures through regular management and staff meetings, store walk-throughs, and audits.
- Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed.
- Build relationships with the community through personal involvement, PR events, and advertising opportunities.
- Evaluate performance issues continually and actively recruit candidates.
- Work varied hours and days to oversee store operations.
- Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met and empower store staff to uphold the highest standards in support of store management.
- Maintain knowledge of all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure Health & Safety documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
Qualifications
- A BS college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Independent, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial.
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to process information and merchandise through a computer system and POS register system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of specialty retail management experience.
Education
BS college degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
