Kate Spade New York seeks a Style Advisor to serve as a trusted, knowledgeable consultant who assists customers in discovering and expressing their personal style through the brand's distinctive handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and home décor collections. The role combines active listening and product expertise with styling guidance, upselling techniques, and seamless checkout facilitation to create memorable customer experiences and drive sales performance in a flexible, part-time capacity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand aesthetic preferences and lifestyle requirements
- Provide expert styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase creative ways to incorporate Kate Spade products into customers' existing wardrobes and encourage exploration of new styles
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless, positive checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, fostering brand loyalty and inviting repeat visits
- Drive sales results through authentic customer connections and compelling brand storytelling
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and point-of-sale transactions
- Demonstrate flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-traffic retail periods as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- English language proficiency
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
- Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and public holidays
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing sales environment is required. Candidates should demonstrate proven ability to engage customers professionally, understand their needs, and close sales through consultative techniques.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No formal post-secondary education required.

The role is situated in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada — conveniently close to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17.60 to USD 22 per hour.
