A freelance/on-call beauty advisor and makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics, providing makeup application, skincare advice, fragrance, and hair consultations. The role combines creative and technical expertise to deliver personalized, inspirational in-store experiences whilst supporting in-store events and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Prior makeup artistry certification or retail makeup experience is desirable but not required; applicants with beginner-level expertise and a strong passion for prestige beauty are encouraged to apply.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide makeup application, skincare consultations, fragrance and hair advice to customers in a welcoming and personalized manner
- Educate customers on product benefits and techniques through authentic and inspirational engagement
- Participate in in-store events and activations as part of a high-performing team
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the retail space stands out against competitors
- Process transactions using retail point-of-sale software
- Work flexibly across varying retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic and personalized customer service
- Capacity to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with retail point-of-sale software systems
- Proof of legal right to live and work in Canada
- Preferred: certification in makeup artistry or prior retail makeup experience
