Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized makeup consultations and applications that educate and delight customers
- Provide welcoming and inspirational customer service that aligns with the brand's prestige positioning
- Collaborate with store team to execute in-store events and promotional activities that drive sales impact
- Maintain and uphold the store's visual merchandising standards to ensure competitive differentiation
- Operate retail point-of-sale software accurately and efficiently
- Work flexibly across retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and special event coverage
Qualifications
- Certification or qualification in makeup artistry, or verifiable retail makeup experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated high level of creative and technical makeup expertise
- Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
- Capability to work retail hours including days, evenings, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with retail point-of-sale (POS) software
- Legal right to work in Canada; proof of work authorization required
Skills
Experience
While formal certification in makeup artistry or prior retail makeup experience is desirable, candidates with amateur-level makeup expertise who can demonstrate strong creative and technical proficiency are encouraged to apply. Any prior experience in customer-facing retail or beauty service roles is advantageous.
Education
Certification in makeup artistry or equivalent formal training is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent is expected.
