The on-call, freelance Makeup Artist provides personalized makeup, skincare, hair, and fragrance consultations, supports in-store events, and upholds visual merchandising standards at MAC Vaughan Mills. The role welcomes beginner-level applicants and offers training and development opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide makeup application, skincare advice, and hair or fragrance consultations to create a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized in-store experience that educates and delights customers.
- Use creative and technical expertise and a passion for people to deliver personalized customer service.
- Work as part of a high-performing team to create impact through in-store events.
- Ensure the store meets visual merchandising standards and stands out from competitors.
Qualifications
- Retail experience is preferred, but applicants with amateur-level experience are welcome if they can demonstrate a high level of creative and technical expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
- Availability to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends, and special events, in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with retail point-of-sale software.
- Ability to provide proof of the right to live and work in Canada if invited to interview.
- Makeup artistry certification and/or prior retail makeup experience is desirable; beginner-level expertise is also welcomed.
- Expertise in fragrance, skincare, and hair consultation is highly valued, while applicants seeking to develop skills in these areas are also welcomed.
