MAC Regional Education Trainer in Ontario, Canada. Deliver technical training to salon staff and retail teams on professional makeup products and techniques.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct technical education sessions at salon locations, instructing staff on professional product theory, techniques, applications, and competitive advantages
- Facilitate retail and professional programs at the Education Center, including New Staff orientation, Ritual & Selling Skills, Performance training, FSD, Gray Coverage, and specialized product solutions
- Deliver in-salon training to improve product sales and educate new staff and stylists for concept salon locations
- Develop and update salon educational materials, including product documentation, retail orientation guides, professional technique materials, and training documents
- Provide specialized training for newly opened salons and support daymakers and PPT advanced care training
- Collaborate with PR, marketing, and salon teams on promotional events, trend collection materials, and salon service positioning
- Collect, analyze, and report feedback from training participants to continuously improve program quality
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 education with specialized training in makeup
- 2+ years of professional experience, including prior roles as Product Specialist and Impact Team Member
- 1+ year of experience in an educational or leadership capacity
- Proven ability to train and coach employees and customers
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated capacity to provide guidance and instruction
- Ability to develop creative, informative, and engaging training content
- Capacity to lift and transfer equipment bags weighing approximately 40 lb
- Willingness to travel by air and car for salon training and events
- Ability to work standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours) at retail counters
Skills
Experience
2+ years of professional experience in makeup or beauty retail, with at least 1 year in an educational or leadership role. Prior experience as a Product Specialist and Impact Team Member is required. Demonstrated success in training salon staff and stylists is essential.
Education
Minimum Grade 12 education with specialist training in makeup or professional beauty.
