The Asset Protection Partner protects Sephora store assets, conducts loss-prevention surveillance and investigations, supports operational controls and inventory processes, and delivers employee training. This permanent, full-time role requires 30–40 hours per week, flexible scheduling and availability across multiple market locations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Protect store assets against theft and work with the Leadership team to maintain operational controls that reduce shortage.
- Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
- Conduct sales-floor surveillance and use the CCTV system to identify, observe, apprehend or deter individuals committing external theft.
- Follow all applicable laws and Sephora policies regarding apprehensions, search and seizure, and preservation of evidence.
- Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement agencies, mall security and other retailers.
- Testify in court on the company's behalf in criminal or civil cases when summoned.
- Provide new-hire and ongoing employee training to maintain awareness of store loss prevention.
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists and safety inspections; communicate findings to the store Leadership team and District Loss Prevention Manager.
- Assist the store Leadership team with inventory preparation and processes.
- Partner with stores and the District Loss Prevention Manager to develop and execute shrinkage prevention plans.
- Meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts or hours: 30–40 hours per week for full-time roles or 16–20 hours per week for part-time roles.
- Work in a fragrance-filled environment; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; bend and stretch to stock shelves.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment; the role profile also specifies a minimum of 3 years.
- Satisfy and maintain licensing requirements where required by provincial or local jurisdiction.
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to remain composed and provide effective coaching in the moment on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is desirable.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Availability to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Availability to work at multiple locations within a market.
