The Asset Protection Partner protects Sephora store assets, deters theft, supports operational controls and collaborates with store leadership and the District Loss Prevention Manager on shrink prevention, audits and inventory. This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 30–40 hours per week, with compensation of CAD 25–30 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
  • Monitor the sales floor and CCTV to identify, observe, apprehend or deter individuals committing external theft.
  • Comply with applicable laws and Sephora policies on apprehensions, search and seizure, and evidence preservation.
  • Prepare reports on theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal partners, local law enforcement, mall security and other retailers.
  • Testify on the company’s behalf in criminal or civil court cases when summoned.
  • Deliver new-hire and ongoing employee training to maintain store loss-prevention awareness.
  • Conduct store self-audits, checklists and safety inspections, and communicate findings to store leadership and the District Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Support the store leadership team with inventory preparation and processes.
  • Partner with stores and the District Loss Prevention Manager to develop and execute shrink-prevention plans.
  • Meet the minimum weekly shift and hours requirements: 30–40 hours for full-time employees or 16–20 hours for part-time employees.
  • Work in a fragrance-filled environment; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; bend and stretch to stock shelves.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
  • Meet and maintain licensing requirements applicable to the province or local jurisdiction.
  • Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and provide effective, in-the-moment coaching on loss-prevention techniques.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Availability to work at multiple locations within a market.
