Sephora Canada seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations in a flexible, part-time retail environment. This role involves educating clients on skincare, cosmetics, and beauty trends, maintaining store standards, and driving sales performance while creating an inclusive, welcoming shopping experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized beauty consultations and product recommendations tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences
- Demonstrate comprehensive product expertise and educate clients on beauty techniques, trends, and skincare routines
- Monitor and maintain current knowledge of beauty products, emerging trends, and industry innovations
- Exceed sales targets and key performance indicators through client engagement and retail excellence
- Support inventory management, merchandising displays, and maintain a clean, organized, welcoming retail environment
- Promote an inclusive, collaborative team culture where all clients and colleagues feel empowered and respected
- Uphold Sephora Canada's operational standards, policies, and commitment to customer safety and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or client-focused service environments
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and cultivate strong client relationships
- Genuine passion for beauty, cosmetics, trends, and client empowerment
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to thrive in collaborative, goal-driven settings
- Quick learner capable of absorbing and sharing product knowledge effectively
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
Skills
Experience
Entry-level retail or hospitality experience in customer-facing roles is preferred; however, strong interpersonal skills and genuine passion for beauty can compensate for limited formal experience.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; specialized beauty or cosmetics certification is not required but may strengthen candidacy.
Workplace
This position is based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 18 to CAD 22.50 per hour.
