The Services Manager, Stores leads all service operations, classes, and events within a Sephora retail location. Responsibilities include managing Beauty, Skincare, and Fragrance Studios; overseeing staff training and development; leveraging technology innovations to enhance client experience; coordinating the online reservation system; and orchestrating in-store events to maximize client engagement and sales. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, proven merchandising acumen, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences in a high-volume retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of Beauty, Skincare, and Fragrance Studios, ensuring adequate staff training and effective service delivery
- Oversee the online reservation system, manage Beauty Advisor availability publishing, and optimize staffing levels to support service demand
- Plan, staff, and execute all in-store events and classes with the services team to maximize client learning and sales opportunities
- Train and develop Beauty Advisors, manage certifications, and provide ongoing skill-development opportunities in makeup artistry and skincare techniques
- Participate in performance management and provide timely, constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement across the services team
- Act as Manager on Duty, engaging directly with Beauty Advisors and clients to ensure outstanding in-store experience
- Leverage technology innovations within the Beauty, Skincare, and Fragrance Studios to enhance client service delivery
Qualifications
- 2–4 years' experience in a similar services management role at a comparable volume retail location or equivalent internal experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and attract talented store leaders capable of developing teams and driving sales
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Strong organizational and event management capabilities
- Physical ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and bend/stretch for stock management
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–4 years in a similar services management position within a high-volume retail environment, or equivalent internal progression within a beauty retail organization.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business management, hospitality, or related field is preferred.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, with easy access to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 54,800 to CAD 68,500 per annum.
