The Store Talent and Operations Manager leads team-member management and store operations at Sephora in Repentigny, including recruiting, training, scheduling, payroll, performance management, inventory and operating standards. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role requiring evening, weekend and holiday availability.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage all team-member and store-operations matters, including staffing, floor assignments, Beauty Advisor training and education, onboarding, store scheduling, and execution of Sephora operating standards.
  • Conduct final interviews for key positions and use the online applicant tracking system as needed to source, screen, and hire candidates.
  • Manage all store training activities and develop and implement the store’s ongoing training strategy with the Store Director and Education Partners.
  • Oversee weekly store scheduling, approve time-off requests, and manage store payroll, ensuring compliance with company, regional, and district guidelines and timely approval for accurate payment.
  • Prepare and deliver complete, timely annual performance reviews for direct reports, oversee the store-wide review process, participate in performance-management matters, and ensure timely feedback and follow-up.
  • Lead store operations and ensure all processes meet company standards. Manage inventory, including shipping, receiving and returns, supplies and testers, cycle counts, and adherence to company procedures and deadlines.
  • Act as a business expert with a strong understanding of store revenue, staffing, payroll, and other controllable expenses.
  • Generally manage a team of direct reports, including service team leads and Beauty Advisors.

Qualifications

  • Two to four years of management experience in the beauty, retail, or customer-service industry, or equivalent internal experience.
  • Experience recruiting, staffing, and hiring for all store positions, including leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and identify and develop in-store talent throughout their careers.
  • Ability to remain composed and lead difficult conversations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners at all levels clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to bend and stretch to stock displays and shelves and lift and move loads of up to 50 pounds; stores are a fragranced environment.
