The Boutique Director leads Van Cleef & Arpels boutique operations, sales strategy, team development, client growth and service quality, while representing the Maison at events and coordinating inventory and launches. The role is full-time, includes travel up to 50% and flexible hours, and offers an annual salary of $180,000–$195,000 plus bonus eligibility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales targets defined in the store action plan developed with the Senior Vice President, Retail and Regional Director, focusing on short- and long-term strategic and financial objectives; lead boutique management and strategic development, including High Jewelry.
  • Enhance the quality and protect the integrity of the Van Cleef & Arpels image in the store’s market.
  • Identify success profiles and plan talent development, define career paths and advancement opportunities, and monitor and supervise boutique team members.
  • Generate new clients and develop innovative business ideas.
  • Represent Van Cleef & Arpels at meetings, events, charity dinners and other work-related functions in the U.S. and abroad, with extensive travel.
  • Manage optimal inventory and model-stock levels in coordination with the Supply Chain Department.
  • Initiate activities for new product launches and events to increase market visibility and net sales.
  • Help develop store personnel performance goals and update management through reporting mechanisms; deliver the highest levels of customer service to support sales growth.
  • Attend international functions including Codir Des Codir, Maison Committee, Retail Conferences, SIHH and High Jewelry trips with the President & CEO, Senior Vice President, Retail and Regional Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; a master’s degree in business is preferred.
  • Multi-unit or high-volume experience, ideally in luxury retail or hospitality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong computer skills in SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel in the U.S. market and internationally up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Fluency in French or Mandarin is an asset.
