Installing and securing the assembled watch movement, dial and hands inside the case.
Casing-up brings the assembled movement together with the watch case and secures it in place. In the assembly sequence described by Horopedia, the movement already carries its dial and hands when it is fitted into the case and the case is closed. This stage is grouped under T2, following movement assembly at T1. Water-resistance work and fitting the bracelet or strap are grouped under T3. These labels help distinguish the stages, although workshop sequences can differ. Completing the physical assembly does not by itself establish water resistance, which requires the relevant sealing work and checks.
