A set of specifications and instructions used to communicate how a garment or product should be made.
A tech pack brings together the information needed to communicate a product design to the people making it. For a garment, this can include sketches, a bill of materials, measurement tables and construction details. Development teams use those specifications when samples are made and assessed, then update the information as decisions change. Clear documentation reduces uncertainty about the intended result. A bill of materials covers the components, while a measurement sheet covers dimensions. Each can form part of the wider pack without describing the whole product on its own.

Product development and production roles often expect people to read or prepare tech packs. Look for which part the job owns, since writing the specification is different from checking that a factory followed it. Search local jobs for “production”.
